Q:
Are they a co-ed or gender specific treatment facility?

A:
Some treatment centers are co-ed. Unless the client is very mature, co-ed probably isn't the way to go. Women may have women's issues that they will need to discuss without male clients or male staff present and same with the men. Plus, both men and women seem to be easily distracted by the opposite sex in early sobriety.

There are centers that treat both men and women, but they are housed separately and they provide separate men's and women's programs. This is usually fine as long as they provide around the clock staffing.
